The high performance multi purpose roller |
||||||||||||||||||
Without
exception the Poweroll County is the very best grass
roller available. This cricket wicket roller has
been developed with assistance from leading grounds
men to ensure that it provides the grounds man with
the best tool available for the job. There are less
expensive alternatives to a Poweroll County, but
there are no finer alternatives at any price. This
roller is fitted with a Kubota D722, 3 cylinder
diesel engine as standard equipment and therefore
produces superior, quieter and more powerful
performance coupled with a higher transfer speed
than any other dedicated grass cricket roller;
particularly useful for large college grounds with
distance to cover between squares. It is capable of
being ballasted to ½ ton heavier than any other
dedicated grass roller on the market (if the grounds
man chooses to do so). It also features a very
comfortable seat with an elevated driving position
providing good visibility of the area to work on the
cricket pitch or tennis court. |

In
common with all Poweroll rollers, the
machines weight can be altered to suit the
ground conditions. Typically, start the
season with the roller un-ballasted and add
water to the rollers and ballast tanks
during the playing season as the cricket
ground becomes more compact. At the end of
the playing season drain all the water and
the machine is ready for the following year
(also protects against frost damage). The
weight distribution has been designed to
ensure that the machine displaces equal
ground pressure on front and rear rollers
and to left and right. I
t
is possible that you will never need to use
the Poweroll County cricket roller fully
ballasted, but believe it is better to have
the facility available than to wish your
grounds roller was heavier for the many
years of service it will give you! An
integral compartment behind the drivers seat
provides a useful storage facility. The
heavy duty hydraulic system employed on his
machine enables minimal ground speed and
maximum longevity. The wicket roller is
operated forward and reverse using a single
control lever. Fitted to this lever is a
flip over gate device for limiting movement
to ensure all operators roll the wicket at
the same consistent speed regardless of
their experience.
Options: PVC machine cover, hour meter,
5ft tandem or split 6ft rolling width, as at
