Re-built Stothert & Pitt 32RD.
Specification for 2007
We buy back
Stothert & Pitt 32RD rollers. These are then
extensively modified; we completely dismantle
the donor machine, remove superfluous parts and
have the chassis and components grit blast to
bare metal and re-sprayed. New for 2007,
includes a 400k.g. pre-formed concrete block
that together with water ballasting the rollers
(another upgrade we perform) will take the gross
weight of this modified roller from around 700
kg to approximately 1500kg. - the ideal weight
to produce a good wicket. Our modified Stothert
& Pitt rollers should not be confused with the
tired looking machines still used extensively
around the country. A Stothert & Pitt roller
rebuilt by Poweroll retains the basic
components, that has given the original machine
such longevity. However, the basic machine is
enhanced with up to date features to enable it
to perform to current expectations with regard
to health & safety and user friendliness. |

Re-building the Auto-Roller AR4 We offer a
complete re-building service for the Auto-Roller AR4. We
recommend a total rebuild rather than a power plant
replacement to enable the roller to continue for a
maximum number of years with the minimum of downtime in
the future. The power plant replacement option offered
by others does not include replacing the roller axles,
bearings or rebuilding the handbrake, as our complete
service does, or even a replacement seat that is
invariably, always required. And of course, one service
that the total rebuild always includes is a bare metal
re-spray of the machine its self. This transforms the
old roller and helps justify the expense of the power
plant work; rejuvenates it ready for many more working
years without further expense or downtime when the
original parts finally give up. The donor machine is
completely stripped and all parts examined for wear and
replaced as required. The chassis and components are
then grit blast to bare metal and re-sprayed with the
same paint we use on new machines. For reasons of
economy and ease of use when operating, we install a
hydraulic drive to replace the gearbox and clutch
arrangement of the original machine. The machine is then
re-assembled using our own hydraulic drive power plant.
We offer options of diesel or petrol engines and an
upgrade to power steering. The forward and reverse
direction and ground speed on this roller is actuated by
1 hand lever.
